Hi everyone! I'm Mélanie. I live in France and collect model horses since 2008. My first model was a Khemosabi. Now, I have around 80 models of all scales and resins. Concerning myself: I'm 26yo, student in literature to become teacher. I began in model tack modifying Breyer tack, now, I make some kind of portuguese saddles, bridles, halters and sometimes props.
Hi! Lindy P here! I own Rainbow's End Saddlery / Sunny Shamrock Farm. Established in 1971. I'm considered an old timer in the hobby and have been making tack longer than I can remember. I specialize in OOAK LSQ Circus tack sets and Parade Sets. I love the creative process.
It will take me a bit to get caught up here so bear with me!
Hello all! I'm Bobbie, I live in South Dakota, USA, and I do a little bit of everything with models. My longtime passion has been customizing and painting. I've recently started my journey into "real" (leather) tack making and have also done some prop making. I do have plans to start on some doll making/customizing soon as well. I'm a real DIY type and always have been. I grew up heavily influenced by my grandparents who are/were very crafty people.
I don't really consider myself an active "collector" these days, but for original finish I do have mostly Breyers and a handful of other types - mainly Safari and Schleich. I'm excited about Copperfox and am looking forward to my first model from them.
My favorites overall are probably minis and I've done most of my customizing on Stablemate-sized and smaller. For tack making, I'm starting at Traditional scale! (haha) However, I'm planning on trying some mini tack eventually too. (eek!)
I started collecting, customizing, and showing (photo and live) when I was a young girl, but then "life" happened in some nasty ways and I was away from the hobby for a long time. I just started live showing again last fall and had a TON of fun. I'm planning to go to a couple more live shows at the end of this month/beginning of March.
My biggest project in the works is a Traditional scale stagecoach with a custom 6 horse team, harness, the whole bit. It will be HUGE. (haha) I've been (slowly) working on it for a few years now and I plan to do every part of it myself. My ultimate goal is for the whole thing to be live show/NAN quality. I have a lot to learn before all of that happens and it will push my abilities in every area - customizing, tack making, etc., but I'm looking forward to the journey.
That's about it for my intro I think. It's good to be here!

Hello! My name is Becca, and consider myself a tack maker. I have been making tack off and on for probably 5 years, but I started becoming more serious about this aspect of the hobby and offering commissions about two years ago.
I mainly collect Traditional Breyers, but I also have a few Stones and Artist Resins. I am trying very hard not to get into Chinas as well, haha.
I only make Western tack at the moment, but I hope to get into English tack in the future as well!

Hello,
My name is Elizabeth and I love collecting OFs, customizing and especially tack making and live showing. I mainly make micro mini tack, which will probably eventually cause me to go blind and nutty, but I love it any how. I also Live show my micro minis and therefore make all their tack, props, and anything else they might need for performance. My latest endeavor is bendy micro mini dolls to improve my entries even more. I do minor CMing on Micros and SM and occasionally something larger. I'm quite new to the hobby, I did not start tack making or customizing until about 2012. I love live show, and have entered a few photo shows but I'm still learning on taking decent pictures...
I conga the Eberl halflinger classic mare and foal and love every thing else she has done. I have over 150 micro minis galloping around, and my live show string probably sits around 100 with the majority being minis. I'm currently in a flurry getting ready for a Live show in a few weeks. I made brand new tack for my main performance micro but I have not got around to getting any picture. I just finished a western pleasure saddle which I'm exceedingly proud of and my most realistic micro mini western saddle to date. After the craziness is over I'm sure you will see plenty of it.
As for things outside of model horses, I have a very strange mix of things. I have my own horse (well she is technically a large pony) named Sunshine Morning Glory. She is a pretty Bay Pinto half- Missouri Fox Trotter who is very good at Dressage (though we are only in Intro level). We do Dressage, Show jumping and Eventing now, but most of our previous showing was western. I Grow 20+ Carnivorous Plants most of them are various species and hybrids of American Pitcher plants, but I also have 5 or 6 Venus flytraps. Some seed that I raised myself just sprouted a few weeks ago, but it takes seedlings 4-5 years to mature so I'll see If I can successfully grow them this time. I grow all my Carnivorous plants outside (And today it is about zero!).
I love reading. Some of my favorite books include Ranger's Apprentice, The Books of the Infinite, and all of Tolkien's works. I LOVE everything Tolkien! I'm always ready to talk Tolkien or Ranger's Apprentice.
I'm very excited to get to know you and I hope I didn't bore you too much with myself.
Hi, my name ist vanessa and I live in Germany. I think I´m a modell-horse-everything-messy: I collect Ofs, Custs and have only 2 Resins and too many bodys, and if i manage to get them done,I love to paint them (ca. 1 Horse in 2 years). I also love to sculpt some OSC, but that takes even longer. And,as if this were not enough, I always starts some tackprojects but never finish them (like the OSC´s until now).
Beside the Horses I like to read. Most I read crime fiction or historical novels but I also love T.C. Boyl and classic authors such as Jane Austen. And if I don´t try something new or read, I draw Horses (what else?). Right now I still studying art history and after that, I have a biiig Atelié with hundreds of Horses (hope so, but I´m realistic...so no).

Hello! My name is Devon Comstock and I live in the United States. I am mostly a tack maker but I do some prop making and occasionally some customizing. I sell model horse tack under the studio name Sundance Studios. I've been making tack since 2010 and selling since 2013. I specialize in English tack but I also do a bit in Western. You can see pictures on my website: sundancestudiosdc.weebly.com/
I mostly collect OF Breyers as I have a bit of a low budget, but I have a couple customs and a couple of Stones. I always try to get Performance Friendly horses as I don't show in Halter, just Performance. Some of my favorite molds are the Stone TB, Cleveland Bay, Zippo, Flash, Wintersong and a bunch of others.
I currently show in performance in Region 8. As mentioned above, I don't really show in Halter. I love showing in performance as I make my own tack and props, so it's really special to me when I win something

Hi everyone! It's great to see a board focusing on performance showing and everything that goes with it, and wonderful to see members from all over the world! I'm Kim, and along with my mom we make props as Tabletop Studios. We've been making props for over 10 years now, originally focusing on mini scale only and then branching out to Traditional scale over the past few years. All of our work is one-of-a-kind, and we really enjoy the challenge of capturing a real life jump or obstacle as accurately as possible.
In addition to making props, I also collect OF Breyers and am an avid performance shower.
Here are a few photos of some of our work--looking forward to participating more on this board!
Hi, my name is Lisa and I'm from Victoria, Australia. I don't make tack, but I do make props (badly) and dioramas (not quite as badly but still...) and would love to learn how to make better ones. I yearn to be close to your league of prop making Kim!
I have far too many models, most of them are Resins, but I have a fair number of Breyers and Stones, and a small number of Customs. I used to photo show as well as live show but these days I only live show. I also tend to do a lot of judging - nearly every live show I go to, and I usually judge the performance classes.
I am one of the people who run the Down Under Nationals and I try to help out at all live shows that I can in Australia.
Outside of the hobby I work full time and also have two welsh mountain ponies who I adore. My mare is currently off being broken to harness (SOOOOOO exciting) and my colt is off growing at a friend's place. I show my mare in hand, we always lose but it's great experience for her and when my colt resembles one pony instead of a horse and a pony stuck together he will be shown in hand as well. I'll also start competing my mare in harness when the two of us figure out what we are doing. I'm owned by two cavalier spaniels who tend to stop me from spending as much time on the hobby as I'd like as I'm too busy cuddling them.
I used to compete when younger in dressage, strapped for an eventer and helped break in horses and ponies, which is probably why I get asked to do the performance judging.
