I'm sure most of us have gone for the wonderfully safe "Time Payment" option when buying that really expensive resin or tack set especially when it is at risk of being snapped up by someone else!
Here I would like to help motivate myself and others to help us pay off our timepayments and hopefully get our ponies and items early!
At the moment I have a few timepayments in progress myself
Quarter Meister resin - deposit only on him so along way to go there!
Factory Custom PS Warmblood who only has $175 left (which I may pay off today and get it out of the way!)
A new western tack set also with $175 to pay (however this one is USD ouch)
And as on last night a Zyde resin! whom I have 200 euro left on
Hopefully I can get them all paid off soon without having to use any savings!
I really don't like doing time payments (I rather save and then pay in full) but I broke my rule a little while ago to have Kim from Tabletop Studio's make me an awesome jump! It's gonna be all Africa themed (I live in the Netherlands but my heart is in Africa, I'll tell about it some other time) and it will be awesome! I'm doing time payments for that jump, and I can hardly wait untill it's done
It's a good thing that the jumping horse I'm having it made for is going pretty slow, else I'd be jumping with impatient excitement for the next 6 months!

I typically don't do time payments, but I find myself attracted more and more to the DAH and OOAK Stones, in addition to resins....which means more $$....
I'm really excited about this fabulous DAH splash mare on time payments from Jessica Fry (photo done by her, from MHSP). I've been telling my Aussie friends all about her. Her markings remind me of a Great White Shark, so she will be dubbed "Great White." So thrilled. At the suggestion of one friend, she may end up with her own aquarium ;-)
After Great White is paid for, I have to find a fabulous Wee Wyakin....
Waiting drives me nuts because I'm super impatient, but the motivation is to have a new something to have in my hands in a few months...after which I will find another horse to wait in the wings...so the motivation for paying off current time payments is to GET ANOTHER ONE!
I have one set-it-and-forget-it automatic time payment at the moment for an unpainted Quartermeister (my second one) from Morgen. I like the extended time payment options (one year or six months) that several artists are starting to offer now.
And I have one time payment for a Tabletop Studios jump (second-hand). Still have a ways to go with that one, but the seller wants to keep it until after NAN I believe, so it's also not really a rush either.
Im the same as Char and basically if I cant afford to pay in full I cant afford it full stop,I dont like the idea of time payments so havent really done any yet, but thats just me because if I give in to it I'll end up with far too many things I'm paying for and i'm meant to be saving!!! I do think there has been a couple i have paid half of then the other half and postage before though so i guess that kind of is still time payments?

I usually knock my time payments out in two payments or sometimes three and usually with payments either every other week or once a month depending. I wouldn't feel right letting them drag on for months unpaid, with the exception of a few rare cases and the set-them-and-forget-them auto ones.
i have 2 ongoing payments right now, with the same person but for two horses,
a ps jet propelled (a twh paint, black tobiano with bleu eyes, he is unfortunately glossy but i still like him) and a deb brown custom, its a classic scale collecta lusitano mare to a perlino, i first saw her on ebay but didnt buy her, turns out another dutch collector bought her and is selling her now <3 i am completely in love with her! usually i dont buy too expensive horses because i always want to use them for tack and sometimes they fall.. so a 300$ horse is not a good idea XD. my most expensive horses are the deb brown customs for that matter.. safely in a kabinet (a)
