As I get more and more into western and other tack styles I am needing to grow both my leather carving and tooling skills and tool collection.
I have a few very basic tandy style $8 stamps for the moment but nothing fancy or super tiny so I would love to know where you have found or ordered your tools from!
I know the rio rondo basket weave stamp is the one to get but as it hasn't been made for years finding one is near impossible! There must be alternative!
Just throwing this idea out there a group order might be an idea if we could find someone to produce stamps as then it might be easier to fund a small production run of them from a larger company?
Kirsteen Haley (sp?) used to do miniture stamps similar to the rio rondo ones - i'd love to have one - even did roller stamps for leather i believe?
I'd also love to hunt down the Tackmakers guide - K Smith Tackmakers Journal - both of these were out prior to my interest in tack making and love to get my hands on both.
I'd definately be up for some inscale leather tools
I wrote Kirsteen because of her stamps some time ago, but have not received an answer. She hasn't updated her facebook page for around a year. Unfortunately she seems to have vanished from the internet. :-( I hope she is ok.

I messaged Kirsteen on her Facebook page about a month ago. I expressed interest in any stamps she had available, and she said she had given them away to a friend when she was leaving the hobby. She also said: "If you can get twenty people to buy in I can make just about any stamp you need . I have a machine that after I bought the soft ware is now capable of making mini stamps ." However, I have not heard back since I replied.
I definitely would be interested in buying scale stamps, I can think of quite a few I could use.
I live near a tandy leather store, so I normally get my tools from there. If not, then I attempt to carve them. I would LOVE to find a tiny tiny basket weave one day though. I bought a pretty small one from tandy, but I've seen them smaller from other places.
