I hopefully have a grey FCM windswept spago on the way but waiting to hear back from the lady o.O I think I will add breyer lady phase sprinkles and this one .. this QH smart chic
My current want list is a Memphis Belle - idiot me sold the unpainted one I had and I regret it big time. I'd also like a Stormwatch, Hazel, the Eberl Cobra mares and pretty much every Eberl warmblood I don't already have.
My previous grail was His Highness, but I'm actually pretty disappointed in him. Not a lot of detail on the one I managed to get and he also is damaged. Fingers crossed when I get him repainted the turns out a heck of a lot better otherwise he might have to be moved on

Yes belle is so pretty (pets ally's lovely buckskin head with cute twitched ear) you can play with mine when we are at the show
Paint job can make all the difference I think so hopefully he will turn out beautifully for you I demand photographic documentation of your collection lisa! including the tack collection ^.^ <3
I totally want a Hazel, Rose Reiner, Victrix, Valinor, basically any of the resin performance greats.
Yes to all of this.
I want a Matriarch someday too... I've always liked her. Annnd anything painted/haired by Faye Cohen would be amazing.
As for OF's, I'd like to re-add a Cleveland Bay and Strapless to the herd (sold both of mine ) along with a Totilas, Newsworthy, Latigo and probably everything being released in the Premier Club this year.
Yes totally Matriarch! As well as Morgen Kilbourn's new Ranch Mare and Quartermeister!
And you reminded me about OFs, your list mirrors mine except I have Strapless already. Although I would replace Newsworthy with a more realistic jumping pony resin in a heartbeat.

I have had a bit of an OF revaluation here and as a tack maker all models risk possible damage so along with all the usual issues with OF models I face ... imminent disappointment with them as I cannot get them repaired along with the challenge that they may also have issues with fitting tack. So I have come to the conclusion besides a select few I will get most of my OF horses and future OF models I like into customs so they are still perfect for me to make tack on for others but that I still love and am able to use the models to their greatest potential in my collection I just hate having the internal conflict of do I keep the horse as I need the mould to make tack on or sell it so I can use that space and funds for a nicer horse as I don't really have the space of funds to keep horses around that I don't love and cannot show!
Good idea! I was making a bridle for my Strapless last night and realized when I looked at her more closely that her paint job was TERRIBLE. Nice shading but lots of rough spots, crackled spreading lines in the finish near the top of her forelegs, and a big scratch in her jaw that was there before they painted her. I am really tempted to strip her, sand down all the bad spots, and try sculpting some squishy details (she is so dry) and fix her ears. The only problem is I am not a customizer and have only done a couple of repaints so it's risky and she might turn out worse than before. Either way, it's disappointing because I was planning on showing her!
Do customs seem to be more resistant to scratches and hoof rubs? I've heard that spraying several coats of gloss followed by a matte coat is the way to go to for performance horses. Also, I guess the issue with customizing any horse is that they can no longer be entered into OF performance.

here that isn't really an issue as all our perf classes are together so ARs, customs and OF compete and OF are never really going to be able to compete that well against an AR so for me customs seem to be the best way to go as sort of a happy medium
Well my OF grails at the moment and for awhile have been Breyer's Sand Dollar and Make A Wish (who will be on her way once I finish paying for her....sorry Emily!!)
Otherwise I'd love a Matriarch, or a nice Eberl warmblood. Kipling is very cute and I just love the mini Fabrizio and Flitwick, they can come live with me! I do really like Sue Kern's mini Horatio aswell, he may have to come live with me, Tot aswell, the wee sitting miniature mare....Maybe its a good thing I have no time for models or painting the blanks i already have!
I'd love a regular destado, Roxy, and latigo. Also a platinum star would be awesome too! Does it bother anyone else when you go to breyerfest but can't buy the special runs you want even though you bought the three day tickets?
